IDAHO FALLS — One man was taken to the hospital after being struck in the head with a wine bottle Thursday night.

Idaho Falls Police officers responded to the Super 8 Motel on Lindsay Blvd. around 11:30 p.m. to a report of two men fighting.

When officers arrived, police say 22-year-old Nicholas E. Stewart of Buhl and a 42‐year‐old man from Wendell were involved in a verbal argument that turned physical.

During the argument, Stewart is accused of grabbing a wine glass from the older man’s hand and hitting him on the head causing several lacerations.

Stewart was arrested for aggravated battery and booked into the Bonneville County Jail.

He is held without bond until he makes his first court appearance this afternoon.
