IDAHO FALLS — Police arrested an Ammon man for driving under the influence following a crash involving a motorcycle and car Friday night.

Justin Johnson, 18, was also cited for improper left turn.

Police responded to Utah and Pancheri for a reported crash just before 5 p.m.

Johnson was driving a Kia Optima when police say he turned left onto Utah Avenue to head northbound. Due to the traffic back up on Utah Avenue, Johnson collided with a motorcycle.

The 45‐year‐old Idaho Falls motorcycle driver and her passenger, a 37‐year‐old Menan woman, were ejected. Neither woman was wearing a helmet.

Both were transported to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, where police say their injuries and conditions are unknown.

The city of Idaho Falls has refused to release the names of crash victims.

During the crash investigation, police say Johnson was found to be under the influence of marijuana. His passenger, 19‐year‐old Lain Gladstone of Idaho Falls, was also cited for possession of marijuana.
