Man fires gun into ceiling while threatening woman, say police

IDAHO FALLS – An Idaho Falls man was arrested after he used a gun to threaten a woman late Saturday night, police said.

According to a news release from Idaho Falls police, officers responded to the 600 block of Falls Drive for a report of a domestic disturbance around 11:20 p.m.

Officers talked to a 34-year-old woman who told police she had Skyler D. Norton, 34, had been arguing.

During the argument, Norton pointed a gun to her head and also fired a round into the ceiling of the home, according to the news release.

Norton was arrested and booked into the Bonneville County Jail. He is being charged with aggravated assault and use of a deadly weapon, both felonies.

He was being held without bond until he made his court appearance Monday afternoon.
