UPDATE: Police release name of woman killed in Bonneville Co. crash

UPDATE 8:25 p.m.

The following is an update from Idaho State Police:

On Tuesday, Feb. 28, at approximately 4:22 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a fatality crash westbound on US-26 near mile marker 391, eleven miles west of the Idaho/Wyoming border.

Ianne W. Henry, 77, of Afton, WY was driving eastbound on US-26 in a 2014 Subaru. Cody L. Wright, 23, of Bedford, WY was driving westbound in a 2005 Pontiac Grand Am. John C. Hedges, 39, of Rigby, ID was driving westbound in a 2006 Chevy Silverado.

Henry drove left of the center line, sideswiping Wright. Henry continued into the westbound lane hitting Hedges head-on.

Henry was not wearing a seat belt and succumbed to her injuries at the scene. Next of kin have been notified.

Passengers in Wright’s vehicle were Zach T. Mathes, 21, of Afton, WY and Buck S. Putnam, 21, of Auburn, WY. Wright, his passengers and Hedges were wearing seatbelts.

The westbound lane was blocked for approximately four hours.

BONNEVILLE COUNTY — A head-on collision on the Swan Valley Highway has claimed the life of an elderly woman, according to Bonneville County Sheriff Sgt. Bryan Lovell.

The crash happened around 2:40 p.m. near mile marker 391 about eleven miles west of the Idaho/Wyoming border.. Deputies say three cars were involved and other victims reported having minor injuries.

Idaho State Police, Swan Valley Fire, Idaho Falls Fire and Bonneville County Sheriff deputies are currently on scene. Drivers can expect delays in the area.
