DAILY FORECAST: Sunny and dry — so go outside!

  Published at

IDAHO FALLS — If you’ve got yard work to do — this is the day to do it. The National Weather Service reports Saturday, April 22, will be the last full dry day for at least a week.

The dry weather is helping with flood conditions on the Portneuf River. The river is still more than a foot above flood stage at 9.9 feet and minor flooding is occurring along its banks. However, water levels are expected to decrease to 9.7 feet by Sunday morning.

A flood advisory is still in effect for the Bear River in Bear Lake County. The river, and surrounding streams remain elevated and are slightly above their banks from Montpelier to the Wyoming State Line. Some minor field and dirt road flooding is occurring near Pegram and Dingle.

ROAD REPORT

No major road closures have been reported as of 8 a.m. Saturday.

Construction on northbound Interstate 15 between exit 72 (Chubbuck) and exit 80 (Fort Hall) has been reduced to one lane due to bridge maintenance. Expect delays and reduced speed of 65 mph through May 12.
