UPDATE: Franklin County Sheriff’s Office searching for missing man

PRESTON — The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a missing man last seen in the area of the Albert Moser campground in Franklin County.

Officials say 19-year-old Bailand Johnson left for a hike at around 5:30 p.m. Thursday. He did not return from the hike. His vehicle was found at the campground, where his keys were locked in the car, according to KIVI.

According to a the sheriff office’s Facebook page he was wearing blue jeans, a gray sweatshirt, and had a small black puppy with him.

If you live along Cub River, the sheriff’s office is encouraging land owners to check their property along the river, but do not go into the river.

For the family’s privacy names or photos are not being released at this time. If you see a young man who appears lost in that area or have any information please notify the Sheriff’s Office at (208) 852-1234.
