  Published at

JACKSON HOLE — JacksonHoleLive organizers and presenting sponsor Snake River Brewing are proud to announce the lineup for the 2017 season of all-ages, outdoor community concerts at the base of Snow King Mountain in downtown Jackson, Wyoming. JacksonHoleLive 2017 has concerts beginning June 18th and ending August 18th. JacksonHoleLive will also produce the Teton County Fair concert this summer.

“We can’t believe we’re already in for our sixth season of JacksonHoleLive, and boy do we have a good one for our Town to enjoy!” explained co-founder and talent buyer Shannon McCormick. “This summer’s lineup is filled with genre bending artists who have tremendous musical pedigrees and exceedingly promising futures as artists and bands. We’ve got players who’ve toured and recorded with musical legends and we’ve got bands that have come up together from college. All of these artists are primed, much like the Revivalists and The Record Company last year, to make their mark on the music world in the upcoming year and well into the future.”

Concert admission is $5 for adults 18+ and FREE for kids 17 and under. All concerts start at 5:30 PM and end at approximately 9:45 PM. Don’t forget that our first event on June 18th, starts at 3:00 PM with the Teton Raptor Center’s celebrated Father’s Day RaptorFest for the same $5 admission. Be sure to come hungry to enjoy food from Café Genevieve, Pinky G’s, Everest Momo Shack, Sweet Cheeks Meats, and Nom Nom Donuts, along with a brew from Snake River Brewing, wine from JH Winery, and TLS sloshies.

The 2017 JacksonHoleLive concert series lineup:

· Sunday, June 18 – Teton Raptor Center’s RaptorFest, Father’s Day, Solstice Party, and 12th annual JH Crawfish Boil featuring The New Orleans Suspects with special guest Boondocks (don’t make plans this afternoon, we’ve got you covered)

· Sunday, July 2 – White Denim with special guest Brother Wolf

· Friday, July 21 – Jamie McLean Band with special guest Tram Jam

· Friday, August 18 – Eclipse concert featuring Twiddle with special guest Head to Head

JacksonHoleLive is made possible by the generous support of presenting sponsor Snake River Brewing, who is now in their sixth year in that role. Big thanks to the Town of Jackson, its many departments, and more than 20 local sponsors. Without their support none of this would be possible, so please take the time to patronize their businesses, and thank them for supporting JacksonHoleLive.

JacksonHoleLive is an all-ages community concert series that is made possible by community sponsorship, attendee support, and on-site concessions. JacksonHoleLive is a fundraiser for Center Management, Inc. (CMI), the nonprofit operator of the Snow King Sports and Events Center.

“JacksonHoleLive supports CMI’s mission to maintain affordable ice rates and program fees for youth hockey, figure skating, and adaptive sled hockey,” explained co-founder Jeff Potter. “Proceeds from last year’s series helped keep ice rates as low as possible for Jackson Youth Hockey, the Skating Club of Jackson Hole, the new adaptive sled hockey program, and the elementary school winter sports programs.”

Sunday, June 19 – The New Orleans Suspects – New Orleans Suspects began playing together in 2009 as a pick-up band at the Maple Leaf in New Orleans. Comprised of some of the most seasoned, highly respected players in NOLA, the group called themselves The Unusual Suspects. Their chemistry was undeniable and by the summer of 2011 they decided to tour full-time, renaming the band New Orleans Suspects. They quickly began attracting large crowds from San Francisco to New York. In five short years they’ve released four CDs and established themselves as one of New Orleans’ best super groups. With band members who’ve played or recorded with the Neville Brothers, Grateful Dead, Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, Royal Southern Brotherhood, Sonny Landreth, Chubby Carrier, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, John Mooney, Leo Nocentelli, and the James Brown Band, these Suspects bring serious chops to the JacksonHoleLive stage. Come out early for Raptor Fest beginning at 3:00 PM and stick around to enjoy the Summer Solstice, Father’s Day, the 12th Annual JH Crawfish Boil, and the high energy roots rock from Boondocks.

Sunday, July 2 – White Denim – White Denim is an American four-piece rock band from Austin, Texas. Their frantic and freewheeling indie rock incorporates progressive and experimental elements with home-based recording, a jamming approach, intense looping work and unusual song structures. Drawing from a number of punk and garage rock influences, the group fashioned a hard-hitting sound with crunchy guitar riffs and frantic energy early in their growth. Their 2016 single “Ha Ha Ha Ha (Yeah)” climbed the charts and saw significant airplay on Jackson area stations. Join us during the Independence Day weekend for “loud, fast-playing rock and roll” powerhouse, and arrive early for Michael Batdorf’s new rock and roll band Brother Wolf.

Friday, July 21 – The Jamie McLean Band – From Madison Square Garden to Bonnaroo to Japan’s Fuji Rock, Jamie McLean’s musical footprint has marked every corner of the globe. Best known for providing his tasteful guitar textures to the New Orleans based jazz outfit the Dirty Dozen Brass Band, along with the Jamie McLean Band, McLean’s fret board mastery has garnered worldwide praise. Performing alongside musical icons such as Elvis Costello, Widespread Panic, Aaron Neville, and Dave Matthews, he has shared the stage with scores of prevalent names in the industry. Always in high demand, McLean has also lent his studio chops to everyone from Norah Jones to Chuck D, proving he is the quintessential workingman’s guitarist. Backed by a dynamic voice loaded with soul, McLean’s transformation from sideman to front man has been seamless. With drops of southern roots rock, blues, R&B, funk and soul oozing from their amplifiers, the Jamie McLean Band offers “honest rock and roll” that pulls no punches. Night in and night out, Jamie McLean’s performances are smothered in soul and confident command of the six-string. Take the straightforward, no-nonsense rock of the Rolling Stones and The Black Crowes and mix in the personal sincerity of Ryan Adams and Tom Petty and the result is the Jamie McLean Band. We’ll see you for a night of rockin’ blues guitar, and be sure to come out early for a very special summer set with special guests and ski season favorites Tram Jam.

Friday, August 18 – Twiddle – Twiddle, a Vermont based quartet, spins tall tales over an intricate soundscape of hi-def shred. Their fresh multi-genre approach conjures up jazz, classical, and bluegrass, but above all, masterfully blends reggae and funk. Obliterating laws of improvisation, their complex arrangements never fail to leave crowds lusting for more. With roots at Vermont’s Castleton State University, Twiddle began their extensive touring career in 2005. Over a decade later, the foursome has composed an eclectic catalogue spanning three studio albums of originals, in addition to many live releases. Having performed at a multitude of international festivals, Twiddle’s trajectory shows zero sign of slowing. Look for them to pack prominent theaters throughout 2017, as they truly break through to the next level. Celebrate the waning days of summer and kick off the Total Solar Eclipse weekend at our last concert of the season, also featuring Jackson’s own Head to Head.
