JEROME COUNTY — Idaho State Police are investigating an injury crash involving two motorcycles.

The crash occurred at 7:30 p.m. Saturday on eastbound Interstate 84 near mile marker 173 in Jerome County.

Aaron D. Keele, 43, of Idaho Falls, was driving a 2009 Harley Davidson motorcycle eastbound on I-84 when he made an unsafe lane change and struck Jeffrey T. Lovell, 37, of Rigby, who was driving a 2008 Harley Davidson motorcycle, also eastbound on I-84.

Lovell and his passenger, Makisha M. Sorensen, 37, of Rigby, were ejected from the motorcycle, which came to rest in the lane of travel.

Lovell and Sorensen were transported by air ambulance to Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello.

Keele was not transported. Keele was wearing a helmet; Lovell and Sorensen were not.

The condition of Lovell and Sorensen is unknown. EastIdahoNews.com has reached out to hospital officials for more information and will post when it becomes available.

The lanes of travel were blocked for approximately one hour and ten minutes while crews worked to clear the scene.
