Warrant issued for 85-year-old man accused of lewd conduct with a 4-year-old

IDAHO FALLS — A felony arrest warrant has been issued for a Idaho Falls man charged with lewd conduct after he allegedly failed to comply with pretrial supervision.
Police arrested Charles Cecil Carroll, 85, on a felony lewd conduct with a child warrant in April. He was later released without bond to pretrial services.
On June 3, Carroll violated a no-contact order and was last seen in court June 6 when he pleaded guilty to the misdemeanor violation. According to court records, he was sentenced to 180 suspended days in jail.
EastIdahoNews.com spoke with Carroll days after his guilty plea. In the phone interview Carroll gave his version of events that led to the felony lewd conduct charge and how he violated the no-contact order.
The new felony warrant was issued Wednesday. The Bonneville County Jail confirmed it Friday morning. It carries a $50,000 bond and alleges Carroll failed to obey a court order or failed to comply with pretrial services. The specific violation was unknown as of Friday morning.
