Major traffic delays on I-15 between Blackfoot and Idaho Falls

IDAHO FALLS — Commuters driving in both northbound and southbound lanes of I-15 faced major delays between Blackfoot and Idaho Falls Friday evening.
The road is reduced to one lane seven miles north of Blackfoot in the southbound lanes. Road construction work is in progress, and the road is being repaved.
Northbound lanes are also seeing the effects of construction projects.
Several EastIdahoNews.com users report at least one crash in the area, resulting in further delays.
If possible, drivers are encouraged to use an alternate route or delay travel times.
