Update: Power restored in Rexburg area

Power has been restored for nearly everyone. Rocky Mountain Power’s website showed two customers in Madison County were still without power as of 11:30 a.m.
ORIGINAL STORY:
REXBURG — Nearly 3,000 Rocky Mountain Power customers in the Rexburg area lost electricity around 8 a.m. Thursday morning.
A circuit breaker opened in the Rexburg Substation and a troubleshooter is patrolling the line, according to Rocky Mountain Power spokesman David Eskelsen.
Crews are investigating what caused the outage and power should be restored by 10:30 a.m.
