Rocky Mountain Power officials say power was restored just before 8 p.m. The cause of the outage was repairs to a substation near Shelley.
IDAHO FALLS — More than 5,000 Rocky Mountain Power customers are without electricity Tuesday night following outages in Idaho Falls and Shelley.
Some 5,500 customers living in the 83404, 83406, 83221, 83274, 83236 and 83402 zip codes have lost power due to “scheduled maintenance,” according to the Rocky Mountain Power website.
Crews have responded to the outages and electricity is expected to be restored by 9:30 p.m.
