Attempted armed robbery outside Pocatello gas station

The following is a news release from the Pocatello Police Department on Wednesday.

On Tuesday at approximately 10 p.m., officers responded to an attempted armed robbery call that happened at the air pumps at the Kicks 66 located at 616 E. Clark in Pocatello. The suspect is described as an African-American male, approximately 5’10” tall, wearing a light colored hoodie, a black jacket and black pants.

The victim was putting air in his tire when the suspect approached on foot. The suspect displayed a gun in his waistband and had his hand on the gun but did not remove it from his waistband.

The suspect stated to the victim, “Give me what you got.”

The suspect fled on a bicycle without getting anything from the victim. Officers arrived quickly on scene and detectives were called out to respond. Video surveillance is being reviewed and additional businesses in the area will be contacted.
