The following is a news release from United Way of Idaho Falls and Bonneville County.

IDAHO FALLS — As the need continues for supplies in hurricane ravaged areas, Idaho Falls based InterWest Moving & Storage are stepping up to help out.

InterWest Moving & Storage, an agent of Atlas Van Lines and iNdorStor, will partner with local charitable organizations, United Way of Idaho Falls, Bonneville County and The Humanitarian Center to collect and deliver much needed items to the flood damaged areas of Texas.

Items will be dropped off at the iNdorStor self-storage facility at 1755 North Yellowstone Highway, Idaho Falls from Sept. 30 through Oct. 7. Donated items will be loaded on InterWest trucks and delivered to Houston, Texas the following week.

Steve Keim notes, “InterWest moving trucks are in and out of Houston on a regular basis, relocating people both to and from the surrounding area. We feel inspired to reach out in their time of need and offer support. Additionally, we recognize that we are blessed here in Idaho Falls with a generous and capable volunteer community. These charitable organizations do marvelous work. One of the more difficult challenges they face is the logistics component and we are committed to helping them with the resources and expertise we offer. Helping each other in the time of need is a calling to which we are happy to respond.”

The community can drop off the following needed supplies:

Individually packed snacks (crackers, beef jerky, granola bars, breakfast bars)
Protein in pouches or pull top-cans (i.e. tuna, beef stew, chili, canned chicken)
Pet Food, canned and dry
Paper towels
