AMMON – Arizona natives who are new to Idaho are bringing a new business to Ammon –- Modern Home.

Owner Alan Sparks admits he became very interested in the area last fall and soon started making plans to relocate and bring a business here.

“It was funny how fast we fell in love with the area and how we couldn’t get it out of our mind,” Sparks told Bizmojo.com.

He said he discovered the Ammon area when he brought his son to Brigham Young University-Idaho last fall. The Sparks family made the move in June.

“Being in the furniture business and still working for a living, we knew the only way to be able to move here was to open a new store in Idaho Falls. In June of this year, that dream came true and boy do we love it,” Sparks said.

Sparks and his wife own two furniture stores in Arizona, Sparks Homestore in Thatcher, and Home Furnishing Direct in Cottonwood.

Modern Home will be a mattress and furniture store featuring brands such as Tempurpedic, Sealy Klaussner, Ashley, Benchcraft, Southern Motion and more.
