BONNEVILLE COUNTY — A car crashed into a canal at the intersection of 49th South and Ammon Rd. Saturday night – a day after two vehicles ended up in the same canal.

Two vehicles were involved in the crash Saturday night, according to Bonneville County Sheriff Sgt. Bryan Lovell. One vehicle did enter the canal and was submerged.

Multiple EMT’s and emergency crews from the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene. The crash happened around 8:30 p.m. and the car was pulled from the canal around 9:15 p.m., according to witnesses.

One person was taken to the hospital with a broken bone. Other involved in the crash received minor injuries, according to Lovell.

A teenager was taken to the hospital following a crash Friday around 9:30 a.m. at the same intersection.

Officials say in that wreck, the driver of a white Subaru failed to yield causing the teenage driver of a white Ford SUV to crash into the Subaru. Both vehicles then plummeted into the canal full of water. Everyone involved was ok, according to officials on the scene.
