IDAHO FALLS — Slippery weather conditions have resulted in a major crash on U.S. Highway 20 and half-a-dozen other slide-offs on that highway and Idaho Highway 31.

Idaho State Police dispatch reports a semi-truck and possibly other vehicles were involved in a crash near the Menan- Lorenzo Bridge. The crash occurred at 8:30 a.m. and multiple agencies responded to the scene.

Idaho Transportation Department officials say the northbound lane has been reduced to one lane. Traffic is moving slowly.

No details were available about persons involved or any injuries.

Slide-offs have also been reported near Pocatello on Interstate 15. Numerous crashes have blocked the freeway in both directions.

ITD reports slippery conditions throughout the Snake River Plain from the Montana border to the Utah border. The worst areas are I-15 north of Idaho Falls, US 20 west of Idaho Falls, U.S. Highway 26 east of Idaho Falls, and Idaho Highway 31 near Driggs.
