Firth sewers get a little love with passage of $3.7 million bond
Published at | Updated atFIRTH — Residents voted to pass a $3.7 million bond to improve their sanitary sewer system facilities on Tuesday.
The special revenue bond passed with 94 percent of the vote. A grand total of 67 votes were cast regarding the bond. Only four people voted against it.
The $3.7 million bond will be paid back entirely from what the city collects in revenue from sewer fees.
With interest, the bond is estimated to total out at $5,630,876 and will be paid back within 40 years.
