UPDATE: Shots fired as police try to apprehend suspect wanted on outstanding warrants

The following is a news release from the Pocatello Police Department

On Nov. 30 at approximately 4:52 p.m., officers from the Pocatello Police Department were involved in a pursuit with an individual they had attempted to arrest for outstanding warrants at the McDonalds in Chubbuck. During that pursuit, shots were fired. Injuries are unknown at this point. The Idaho State Police will be the lead investigating agency in this incident.

Pocatello police officers are still attempting to locate a person of interest who was last seen in the area of 1000 block of Yellowstone Avenue. She is described as a female, 20 to 30-years-old and wearing all black clothing. The female may be injured and may have torn clothing.

If you observe anyone matching this description, do not approach and contact Pocatello Police Dispatch at (208) 234-6100. PPD is asking for people to avoid the areas of Hwy 30 and Alameda, 4200 Yellowstone in Chubbuck, and 300 W Griffith as these are active crime scenes being investigated by law enforcement.
