WEATHER & ROADS: Cloudy with a chance of rain
Published atIDAHO FALLS — The weather looks fairly nice going into the Thanksgiving holiday. No major weather advisories are being predicted in eastern Idaho as of noon Wednesday, Nov. 22.
The National Weather Service has issued a high wind watch in southern Montana. Southwest winds of 25 to 40 mph are expected with gusts up to 60 mph.
Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Holiday shoppers, travelers, and those outdoors can expect high wind impacts, especially between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m.
Wednesday’s Forecast:
Idaho Falls, Rigby and Rexburg
It’s going to be mostly cloudy today with some patchy fog and a slight chance of rain. Highs of 45 to 52 degrees are expected with light winds of 10 mph. They’ll be fewer clouds during the night with lows around 36 and continued light winds.
Pocatello, Chubbuck and Blackfoot
It’ll be mostly cloudy during the day and night with a slight chance of rain and light winds. Highs of 49 to 59 are expected with lows of 34 to 41 degrees.
Dubois, St. Anthony, Ashton, Island Park, Driggs, and Victor
It’s going to be cloudy during the day and night with a chance of rain. Highs of 39 to 47 degrees are expected with lows around 35 degrees.
Arco, Challis, and Mackay
It’s going to be cloudy during the day and night with a chance of rain. Highs of 43 to 51 degrees are expected with lows of 31 to 38 degrees.
Henry, Soda Springs, Downey, and Lava Hot Springs
It’s going to be cloudy during the day and night with a chance of rain. Highs of 46 to 56 degrees are expected with lows of 31 to 38 degrees.
Road Report:
No major road closures or hazards are being reported on east Idaho highways as of noon Wednesday.
