UPDATE: Amber Alert canceled after Salt Lake police locate infant

SALT LAKE CITY — An Amber Alert has been canceled after police located an infant who was taken by his father from the Salt Lake City area on Friday afternoon, KSL.com reports.
The child was located and is safe, officials said on Twitter Friday evening.

Police were searching for Albert Phillips, 52, who had taken his 1-week-old son Clifford Phillips.
Albert Phillips was believed to be driving a 2005 white Ford F-250 pickup truck with Utah plate W723CV.
Police initially said Phillips was driving a red 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck with Utah license plate number W376TM. But they located the truck at about 6:35 p.m. at 49 E. Gregson Avenue in South Salt Lake.
Phillips then fled in the white truck, Salt Lake City Police Department said on Twitter.
“We’re definitely looking for the safety of this child at this point,” Salt Lake City police Det. Richard Chipping said.
The Utah Department of Child and Family Services was serving a warrant to take custody of Clifford Phillips when his father took him from Salt Lake City at about 3:15 p.m. Friday, police said.
The child’s mother was with DCFS officials at the time, but the father took the child, Chipping said. She was not giving officers information about the investigation, he said.
The child was born with drug exposure, according to police.
