Man arrested for DUI after injury crash in Ammon

AMMON — The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a two-vehicle injury crash that resulted in a DUI arrest Saturday.

The crash occurred at the intersection of 65th South and Crowley Road at about 2:30 p.m.

Bonneville County Sheriff spokesman Sgt. Bryan Lovell said a 35-year-old male driver failed to yield at a stop sign and was hit by a vehicle driven by a 43-year-old female with a 5-year-old passenger.

The child was uninjured, however, the drivers of both vehicles were transported to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center with serious injuries. No names have been released as of Sunday afternoon.

Alcohol was found inside male driver’s vehicle, and he was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

More details are expected to be released Monday.
