IDAHO FALLS — An Iona man is facing lewd conduct with a minor and rape charges in Bonneville and Butte counties.

Dustin Moore, 37, was arraigned Monday morning in Bonneville County on a charge of lewd conduct with a child under 16.

A 17-year-old female relative of Moore’s told police he had been having sexual relations with her since March 2015, shortly after she turned 15.

Moore allegedly had relations with the teen at more than one Idaho address. As a result he is facing one charge of lewd conduct with a minor under 16 in Bonneville County. In Butte County, he is facing two charges of lewd conduct and two charges of rape.

According to court documents, the victim told police Moore had sexual relations with her around two times a month since the first incident in 2015. She said Moore would take her on work-related trips to Utah, where he would have sex with her.

During a confrontation call between the victim and Moore, Moore spoke freely about their alleged sexual relationship. Documents show he asked the victim if she was up to date on her birth control. During the call, Moore and the victim made plans to have sex on Moore’s birthday.

While reportedly acknowledging their sexual relationship during the call, Moore told the victim it had always been her decision whether they had sex.

Before the call ended Moore told the victim once she turned 18 they would no longer have to hide their sexual relationship from his wife. Documents show Moore and the victim talked about having an “official boyfriend/girlfriend relationship.”

Moore is scheduled to appear in court in Bonneville County on Jan. 30 for a pretrial conference. He will be arraigned in Butte County on Jan. 16.
