Pocatello woman arrested after allegedly kicking officers

POCATELLO — A Pocatello woman is accused of kicking three police officers who followed her tracks to a shed.

Valentina Batt, 24, was arrested early Thursday morning after officers responded to a verbal disturbance at an address on Filmore Ave. Lt. Ian Nelson of the Pocatello Police Department said Batt was in violation of a no-contact order by being at the address.

The no-contact order was from a domestic battery charge on Monday, which was committed in the presence of a child, say police.

Nelson told EastIdahoNews.com Batt left before officers arrived. They found her by following her tracks in the snow to a shed. When officers tried to arrest her she kicked three of them before she could be subdued, he said.

She is being charged with three counts of felony battery on an officer.

She was arraigned Thursday and is being held in the Bannock County Jail on a $25,000 bond.
