13 finalists make the cut for open Pocatello City Council seat

The following is a news release from the city of Pocatello.

POCATELLO — The field of potential new Pocatello City Council members is down to 13.

Pocatello Mayor Brian Blad announced Tuesday the list of candidates he will be interviewing for the City Council seat vacated by Steve Brown.

They are:

Craig Cooper
Rebekah Gruel
Robert Croker
Thomas Dakota
Daniel Parrish
David Villarreal
Kirk Lepchenske
Maxwell Daniels
Rachael Levay
Dale Spencer
Bates David Bowen
Ram Eddings
Beenish Mannan

“Thank you to everyone who submitted their application,” said Mayor Blad. “I had a strong group of applicants to sort through and I am proud to see so many step forward and offer their service to the citizens of Pocatello.”

Following the interview process, Mayor Blad will submit his final selection for confirmation at a regular City Council meeting. Mayor Blad anticipates having the position filled by the end of February or in early March.

Once appointed, the new Council member will serve the remainder of Brown’s term which ends in January 2020.
