IDAHO FALLS — A man who drove his vehicle through the showroom at Wackerli Buick Cadillac GMC over the weekend has been charged with a crime.

Lee Rasmussen is facing a felony malicious injury to property charge for damaging the business — including eight broken windows, a door and office equipment.

The incident occurred late Friday night on Holmes Avenue. Rasmussen is said to have driven his vehicle up a show ramp, broke through a window, and continued through a good portion of the building.

He was arraigned Tuesday and given a bond of $50,000.

He remains in jail and is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing on Jan. 30.
