ISP says stealing a car and fleeing from police only works in movies

JEFFERSON COUNTY – A man stole a car and subsequently crashed it into a canal while attempting to escape from the police.
According to a tweet from Idaho State Police, the suspect fled from police on Interstate 15 Monday afternoon. The suspect exited near the Roberts area and crashed the vehicle into a canal.
The man then tried to run away but was caught by Jefferson County Sheriff deputies.
The situation is under investigation and no other information has been released.
