The following is a news release from Idaho State University.

POCATELLO – The Idaho State University Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders is looking for research participants between the ages of 8 and 9 to have hearing and auditory processing done from January to December.

The processing will take one-and-a-half to two hours at the ISU Speech and Hearing Clinic or in a daycare setting.

This capstone project is one of the final requirements for students pursuing an audiology doctoral degree. It allows students to demonstrate their ability to integrate the skills they have acquired during the program and apply those skills to an audiology-related project. Doctoral students conduct the study as the culmination of their doctoral program. After the study is over, students will present their findings and, if possible, submit their work for publication.

The processing is free to participants. All participants that complete the assessment will receive $10 cash.

To schedule an appointment, contact Jessica Hillam, audiology doctoral student, at hilljess@isu.edu.

For questions, contact study supervisor, Mary Whitaker, audiology clinical professor, at whitmary@isu.edu.
