REXBURG — Police are investigating three separate reports of battery that occurred Thursday night near the Brigham Young University-Idaho John W. Hart building.

Rexburg Police Capt. Randy Lewis says three young men in a small gray car with 1M plates were driving on South First West.

“One of the guys jumped out and smacked a woman hard on her buttocks,” Lewis says. “A short time later, at a parking garage, another woman reported a male smacking her butt. And then, a little while later, a woman walking home reported a male ran up and grabbed her breast.”

Police believe the same group of men are behind the three incidents, which all occurred off-campus.
