IDAHO FALLS
Bonneville Hotel renovation on track for Fall
IDAHO FALLS – Despite some funding hiccups, the historic Bonneville Hotel renovation is still moving forward.
In 2016, plans to renovate the iconic Bonneville Hotel into a hub for housing and business while keeping the historic value of the hotel intact were launched. Since then the Idaho Falls Redevelopment Agency has worked to procure funding for the project.
During a meeting in January, the agency revealed they had been denied a $600,000 loan from a low-income housing program. All other funding for the project has been awarded or is on track to be awarded, but without that $600,000, the agency would be hardpressed to be able to continue the project.

Pocatello couple serves up fresh donuts with American Glaze
POCATELLO – Amazing Glaze.
That’s the song running through Dean and Katie Giesbrecht’s head every day during the wee morning hours.
You see, this couple faces the daunting task of making about 2,000 donuts a day using one unique ingredient, according to the Idaho State Journal.
BLACKFOOT
Changes coming to Blackfoot Walmart this spring
The Blackfoot Morning News reports renovations at the Walmart, which began in December, are slated for completion this Spring.
Changes will include a new consultation room at the pharmacy and a new pickup area at the front of the store.
REXBURG
BYU-I winter 2018 enrollment figures show growth on campus and online
REXBURG – Official winter semester enrollment totals for both on-campus and online students at Brigham Young University-Idaho show continued growth.
Statistics released for Winter Semester 2018 show a total campus enrollment of 18,689 students, an increase of 3.5 percent over last winter’s campus enrollment of 18,065. In addition to this number, 4,506 campus-based students are taking online courses or fulfilling internships away from campus. Online courses have allowed for enrollment growth without students having to be on campus.
