It is time to file to run for public office

IDAHO FALLS — Election season is upon us and candidates have already begun filing.
The filing period for those wishing to run for public office began Monday and will close March 9, at 5 p.m. Primary election day is May 15. Polls will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The primary election will cover both local and state elections.
In Bingham County, County Commissioner Mark Bair has filed to run for another term. Newcomer Jessica Lewis is running for Bingham County Commissioner District 3. The seat is currently held by Ladd Carter who will not be seeking re-election.
Incumbents Roger Christensen and Bryon Reed have filed for re-election for district one and district three county commissioner seats in Bonneville County.
