UPDATE: Driver arrested for DUI after light pole crash

The driver of a vehicle who crashed into a light pole Sunday afternoon in Idaho Falls was arrested for DUI and transported to jail, according to Idaho State Police.
“Luckily no other drivers were involved. Thanks to the alert citizens who called this driver in and reported him just prior to the crash,” ISP said in a tweet.

IDAHO FALLS — Idaho State Police are on the scene of a one car crash on Science Center Drive east of US Highway 20.
The driver of the vehicle drove off the road and struck a light pole, according to ISP. The pole fell onto the street and the car ended up on the side of the road.
Nobody was injured and police believe alcohol played a factor in the crash.
Drivers are asked to use caution in the area.
