Off-the-wall massive ART sale to be held this weekend

The following is a news release from The Art Museum of Eastern Idaho.

IDAHO FALLS — The Art Museum of Eastern Idaho (TAM) will be the location of one massive weekend art sale Friday, March 30 from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. and Saturday, March 31 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

For the last several months, generous community members have contributed a wide array of “art” items including, but not limited to paintings, jewelry, art books, frames, prints, sculpture and art posters for TAM’s first ever art sale of this type. For those out of wall space or downsizing and discovering that their children/grandchildren don’t appreciate their treasures as much as they do, it has been a way to support their local art museum and to help in cultivating the next generation of art appreciators and collectors.

“We have been delighted with the response from the community. Our gallery walls and floor space will be full of treasures to fit any budget and there are some true gems of original and reproduced artwork awaiting shoppers. Think of it as a higher-end rummage sale with proceeds going to support TAM’s exhibits and educational programming,” says Miyai Abe Griggs, TAM executive director.

Sponsored by the Willowtree Art Gallery, admission to the Off-the-Wall Art Sale is free to the public. No artwork from TAM’s permanent collection will be sold.
