IDAHO FALLS — A woman wanted for allegedly stealing multiple pieces of mail turned herself in to Nevada police, according to an Idaho Falls Police spokeswoman.

Nikole “Nik” Hawkins, 26, is accused of taking mail from several Idaho Falls homes in early March.

“While attempting to flee the state, Nikole was contacted by people she knew and encouraged to turn herself in,” spokeswoman Holly Cook. “Idaho Falls Police have confirmed that Nikole did turn herself in Carson City, Nevada which is where she had a felony warrant for multiple counts of burglary, fraudulent use of a credit card, and grand larceny.”

Hawkins remains in custody in Nevada.
