Pedestrian killed on North Idaho freeway

WINCHESTER — A Winchester man was hit and killed by a truck Sunday afternoon on US Highway 95.
Shawn Cody, 47, was walking on the northbound shoulder of US Highway 95 just north of Winchester around 12:35 p.m., according to Idaho State Police.
Police say Cody walked onto the highway and was struck by a gold 2003 Toyota Tundra driven by Jimmie R. Eckwortzel, 70, of Lucile.
Cody was pronounced dead at the scene and officers continue to investigate the incident.
