Wrong-way driver killed in North Idaho crash
Published at | Updated atCOTTONWOOD — A Cottonwood woman driving the wrong way was killed in a crash Sunday night in Northern Idaho.
Alexus Cane, 18, was traveling north in the southbound lane of US 95 near Cottonwood around 8:10 p.m. when her vehicle crashed head on into a 2017 Dodge Ram 3500 pulling a 30 ft. camper trailer.
Idaho State Police say the driver of the Dodge, 37-year-old Carrie Marek of White Bird, and her passenger were taken to St. Mary’s Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Cane was pronounced dead at the scene.
The road was blocked for 5 hours and Idaho State Police continue to investigate.
