Caught on camera: Police ask for help finding driver who hit cyclist

POCATELLO — Police are hoping the public can provide additional information after a surveillance camera captured the driver of a car slamming into a bicyclist.

It happened on Sept. 26 at the intersection of 15th Avenue and Clark Street around 8:40 a.m. Video shows the vehicle, believed to be a 2005-07 Nissan Murano, approaching the intersection as the cyclist enters the crosswalk without stopping. The vehicle hits the cyclist, who fell onto the street.

Pocatello Police tell EastIdahoNews.com the driver of the car got out and asked the bicyclist if they were okay. The driver then left without leaving any contact information.

The victim told police the car appeared to be light orange.
