Idaho Republicans’ GOP Bus Stops in Idaho Falls

IDAHO FALLS — There’s been a bus touring the state of Idaho right now.

It’s not transporting a sports team or a musical band — this time it’s Republican politicians traveling the state to talk to constituents about their views prior to the Nov. 6 election.

“We’re really bonding, we’re having a good time, we’re playing games, we’re supporting each other, building each other up,” Lt. governor candidate Janice McGeachin said.

The GOP bus stopped in Idaho Falls Wednesday night for their fifth and final stop of the day. The tour’s objective is to hear the concerns of those in every pocket of the Gem State, and to encourage them to get out and vote.

“Today we were in Menan, and we were in Driggs, and you always learn something when you’re at these events. But it’s also reminding people that in less than two weeks, we’ve got a very important day,” gubernatorial candidate Brad Little said.

Little also appeared at the ribbon cutting of Idaho Falls new community hospital earlier in the evening, aligning with how he feels about the state’s healthcare situation.

“We in Idaho continue to wrestle with access to health care, you know we’ve got pretty good quality health care but we just don’t have enough access to it. And that’s why expansion of facilities is a good thing, but we also have to get more efficient at our system,” Little said.

But while it is important to preach policy and desire in the home stretch of the campaign trail, Little says the goal of his band’s bus tour comes down to one thing.

“In an off year which this is, it’s a non-presidential year, generally, participation rates go down. And I’m a firm believer that if we can get the bulk of Idahoans out to vote, my friends will do well,” Little said.
