IDAHO FALLS – The Idaho Falls Area Humanitarian Center recently got $4,000 from one local business.

Tobin Cleaning and Restoration in Idaho Falls delivered a check to the humanitarian center Tuesday.

Claudine Judy, the office manager for Tobin Restoration at 3466 E. 20th North, tells EastIdahoNews.com this is money raised from the company’s annual lip sync competition in August.

“We just wanted to do something to give back to the community,” Judy said. “When we started this three years ago, we felt the humanitarian center was a place where many lives could be touched. They do so much for so many people.”

Don Neville, the director of the humanitarian center, expressed gratitude for the donation.

“We need the money desperately because we don’t sell anything at the center. Everyone who works here is a volunteer and everything we make gets put back in to the community,” Neville says. “This donation is very much appreciated. It was very touching to receive that amount.

The Idaho Falls Area Humanitarian Center provides clothes, blankets, hygiene kits, toys and much more to people in need.

Neville says the money will be used to help pay for general expenses like rent and utilities.

The Idaho Falls Area Humanitarian Center is at 1415 Northgate Mile in Idaho Falls.
