Officers reunite pair of moose calves with mother along US Highway 20
Published at | Updated atREXBURG — Two young moose were reunited with their mother Monday morning after becoming separated along US Highway 20.
Officers with the Idaho Department of Fish and Game, Rexburg Police Department, Idaho State Police and Madison County Sheriff’s Office were called to assist the animals around 9 a.m. between exits 332 and 333.
The cow moose was on one side of the highway and the two calves, on the other side, were trying to reach her.
Officials were able to safely help the young animals cross both the west and eastbound lanes and happily reunite the family without incident.
