Woman extricated from truck after allegedly running stop sign

IDAHO FALLS — A woman in her 20s was hospitalized Thursday after a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of W. 97 South and S. 1 East.

Bonneville County deputies tell EastIdahoNews.com, the woman, in a white pickup truck, was traveling West on 97 South. A male driver in a brown pickup truck was driving North on 1 st. The vehicles collided in the intersection after the white truck allegedly ran a stop sign, deputies say.

The woman had to be extricated from the vehicle, before being taken by ambulance to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center with unknown injuries.

The man in the brown truck received minor injuries and was taken to the hospital by private vehicle.

The crash is under investigation and at this point, no citations have been issued.
