Man hospitalized after running stop sign and hitting dump truck

IDAHO FALLS — A man was taken to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center after colliding with a dump truck in Idaho Falls on Thursday afternoon.
Police say the man, who has not been identified, was driving a car eastbound on Iona Road when he failed to yield at a stop sign at the intersection with 15th East around 4 p.m.
The car struck a dump truck that was traveling northbound.
The crash caused significant damage to both vehicles.
The driver of the car was transported by ambulance to EIRMC with injuries that were not life-threatening. The driver of the dump truck was unhurt.
Bonnevllle County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating, and so far, no citations have been issued.
