She sold her dream home and moved into a fixer upper to help others. Now we’re thanking her for Feel Good Friday.
EastIdahoNews.com and Ashley Furniture HomeStore are teaming up every week to bring you some good news during Feel Good Friday!
We want to surprise people in our community with random acts of kindness and leave you feeling good.
A few weeks ago we received the following email:
I recently learned about and joined the Idaho Falls chapter of 100 Humanitarians International. They do projects all year long to benefit the local community as well as people in other countries. Recent projects have included supply drives for the homeless in Blackfoot and a family prom event which raised funds for water tanks to be installed in Kenya.
Melodee Bullock, the wonderful lady who is the chapter leader for 100 humanitarians, and her family have sacrificed many things to be able to more fully support these humanitarian projects and visit Kenya themselves.
She gives out of her own pocket constantly to help these people and last year, their family sold the dream home they had built and moved to a little fixer upper so they could put more resources toward these humanitarian projects. The renovations are slowly coming along, but they still do not have a finished and fully functional kitchen or baseboards. They have two young daughters who also love humanitarian projects… and Melodee has a dream to take her oldest daughter to Kenya to meet the people she has been helping raise money to help.
We decided to surprise Melodee and thank her for all her work with a gift that can hopefully help with renovations on her home.
