Man arrested on multiple charges after being caught in stolen vehicle

The following is a news release from Idaho Falls Police.

IDAHO FALLS — On Friday, Nov. 30 at approximately 1 a.m., Idaho Falls Police were patrolling the area of
3rd Street and South Boulevard when they saw a vehicle that had no license plates displayed.

The officer attempted to pull the vehicle over, but the vehicle fled from the officer. The officer did not pursue, but saw that the vehicle left tracks in the fresh snow. The officer followed the tracks and located the vehicle abandoned near 13th Street and South Boulevard.

There were two males standing near the car who were not involved that the Officer spoke to. Multiple Officers arrived to assist and continued to follow footprints from the car to an address in the 1500 block of Curtis Avenue.

A man was located in a residence that arrived there shortly before police. In checking with police dispatch, it was determined that the vehicle was stolen from Caldwell. The vehicle was impounded and several items that are illegal to possess were found inside.

Officers arrested Kayden M. Fisher, an 18-year-old Idaho Falls resident, for receiving or transferring a
stolen vehicle, possession of a controlled substance, suspected methamphetamines, fleeing or attempting to elude law enforcement, possession of a controlled substance, suspected marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
