The following is a news release from the Transportation Security Administration.

IDAHO FALLS — Officers with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) at the Idaho Falls Regional Airport want to convey their thanks and best wishes to the community for the outstanding public support seen from passengers in the terminal, to airport personnel and others making their way through cities across the country. Your support is greatly appreciated!

“While officers cannot accept cash and gifts at the checkpoint, there are ways to help and they are thankful for everyone’s gratitude. It makes a difference,” says TSA Federal Security Director Andrew Coose. “TSA men and women across the country who continue to report for work at airports across the nation demonstrate commitment and professionalism at the highest levels.”

He suggests that passengers contact their local airport to figure out how to help in the most effective way.

“Every airport is different and many have chosen different ways to handle all of the generosity coming in,” he said.
