Idaho Falls-based Bank of Idaho expands to Boise

IDAHO FALLS — An eastern Idaho banking group is expanding into Idaho’s capital.

The Bank of Idaho has just announced a new location in downtown Boise’s CenturyLink Building that opened Jan. 7.

Market Development Vice President Jarod Phillips says the bank is adding a location because it’s one of the fastest growing markets in the country.

The new location is the first of many expansions the bank hopes to make in the near future.

The new branch provides a specialized service to Boise focusing on a consultative approach that’s geared toward helping small businesses, Bank CEO Jeff Newgard said in a news release. The company seeks to help small businesses grow into larger corporations, which sets them apart from many of their competitors.

“We work hard to learn about our customers,” Newgard said. “We strive to gain a deep understanding of their goals and aspirations”.

With this expansion into Boise, the bank now has eight full-service branches throughout eastern and western Idaho. The bank was established in 1985 in Idaho Falls.
