REXBURG – The owner of a local shop is offering a $1,000 reward for any information about a burglary last weekend.

Isaac Payne, a spokesman for Madison County Sheriff’s Office, tells EastIdahoNews.com $14,000 worth of drills and other welding equipment was stolen from a shop at 5292 S. 400 W. in Rexburg.

Payne says there were at least two people involved in the burglary. The burglars backed their vehicle right up to the door and ripped it open.

The make and model of the vehicle the suspects were driving is unknown, but the Sheriff’s office is trying to find those responsible by keeping an eye out for burglaries at other shops and people selling similar items online.

Robert Smith, the owner of the shop, wants your help identifying the suspects or obtaining more information about the incident, which is why he is offering the reward.

If you have any information that would be helpful, contact the sheriff’s office at (208) 372-5000.
