Burglary suspect taken into custody
Published at | Updated atIDAHO FALLS –- Idaho Falls Police arrested a man for allegedly trying to burglarize an Idaho Falls business.
Michael Bradsteen, 38, was taken into custody and charged with burglary, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bradsteen is accused of attempting to burglarize a business on Northgate Mile.
Around 11:40 p.m. Wednesday, Idaho Falls Police officers were called to a business on the 800 block of Northgate Mile for a burglary in process. As officers were arriving on scene, they saw movement through a window, and then a suspect exiting the building and running away from the property, according to an IFPD news release.
Officers ran after Bradsteen to the stockyards. Additional officers and a Bonneville County Sherriff’s deputy arrived to help and apprehended him around 11:50 p.m. on the far side of the stockyard, as he was trying to cross the railroad tracks.
IFPD spokeswoman Jessica Clements said no items of value were taken from the business.
