Free pesticide applicator seminar in Fremont County

  Published at  | Updated at

On December 6th, the University of Idaho Extension in Fremont County will be offering a seminar that will be of interest to anyone who applies chemicals commercially, or on their farm depending upon their farming operation.

The Fremont County Extension Office is holding a free pesticide applicator seminar, and those who attend the entire seminar will be eligible to receive 4 credits toward their Idaho State Pesticide Applicator License. Every two years these licenses must be renewed, and for commercial applicators, they need to have obtained a minimum of 15 credits, while private applicators only need 6 credits. The licenses always expire at the end of December, and oftentimes applicators are in need of a few last-minute credits, which this training helps them to be able to receive and therefore be in compliance with the Idaho State Department of Agriculture. The event does not require pre-registration, and attendees are recommended to arrive between 8 and 8:25 AM.

The class begins promptly at 8:30, and if attendees arrive afterward they will not be eligible to receive the 4 credits being offered. The address is 19 West 1 st North, Saint Anthony, and is being held in the large meeting room. All interested parties are invited to attend. For questions or further inquiries please contact the Fremont County Extension office at 208-624-3102.
