AMMON — A Utah based mobile phone repair and accessory company is opening a franchise in Ammon’s Sandcreek Commons.

ZAGG will be coming this spring to the 40-acre shopping center booming with new move-ins announced throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Ball Ventures, who co-owns the development with Woodbury Corporation, said ZAGG franchises offer not only their certified repairs but their own brands of cases and other mobile accessories.

“The ZAGG franchise store offers shoppers many essential products in today’s digital device world,” Eric Isom, chief development officer for Ball Ventures, said in a news release. “The location of the new ZAGG franchise store in Ammon will provide convenience to local and regional shoppers.”

Ball Ventures has not announced the exact opening date of the new store. Since the pandemic hit eastern Idaho this spring, half-a-dozen businesses announced their plans to open or relocate to the site at the corner of Hitt and Sunnyside Roads.

Petco, Firehouse Subs, Puerto Vallarta Mexican Restaurant, America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses, Mo’ Bettah’s Hawaiian Style and Starbucks have either opened, have plans to open, or are under construction.

The new ZAGG store will open in the multi-tenant building next to Broulims that already houses Great Clips, Orange Theory Fitness and Puerto Vallarta.

“We are excited for this opening,” Shaun Steel, ZAGG franchise store owner, said in the news release. “(We) look forward to being involved in the community and getting to know our customers.”
